The ICC is part of an Irish language development project generously supported by An Roinn Ealaíon, Oidreachta, Gnóthaí Réigiúnacha, Tuaithe agus Gaeltachta/Department of Arts, Culture. Our language classes are offered this year in collaboration with the University of Liverpool’s Institute of Irish Studies, through its London campus.
Our classes celebrate the beauty of the Irish language and aim to develop appropriate levels of competency. Greater levels of fluency and confidence are achieved though an increased understanding of grammar and expansion of students' vocabulary. Whilst we aim to ensure the learning experience is an enjoyable one, progress only happens when students engage with, and make a serious commitment to, the education programme. Regular attendance is compulsory and you are expected to undertake some study at home outside of the weekly classes, e.g. reading and practising spoken exercises. The subsidised £60 fee is annual.
