From Dublin’s Duke Street Gallery’s ‘Moments Of Joyce Archive’ ICC Digital Shines a light on The Painter and Animator Aidan Hickey, who has set himself the mammoth task of painting a scene to represent all 18 chapters of James Joyce’s book ‘Ulysses’. Hickey is a renowned Irish Painter, whose work has been exhibited extensively. His portrait of Bram Stoker currently hangs in the Dublin Writers Museum and his famous portrait of Colm Toibín, (acquired by Wexford County Council), hangs in Enniscorthy Library. Hickey has had a long career as an Animator. In 2005 Hickey wrote and directed ‘The Boy Who Had No Story’, which won The Irish Film and Television Award for ‘Best Animation’ and ‘Best Children’s Film’.
