The Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith welcomes Anthony Harte to the Board of Trustees.
Anthony Harte has been appointed as a Director of The Irish Cultural Centre and will also become our Treasurer.
Anthony has over 15 years of experience in Investment Banking. He began his career working within the Philanthropy and Cultural Sponsorships team at Lehman Brothers and currently leads the Philanthropy programme at Bank of America for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
Peter Power-Hynes, Chairman of The Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith said: “Anthony brings an array of experience and skills. He is already making a significant impact on our strategic vision and plans for our 25th anniversary, working to elevate the Irish Cultural Centre to new levels.”
On his appointment, Anthony commented: “Now more than ever, investment in cultural initiatives are required to build mutual understanding, reduce social isolation and enhance bilateral relations. I’m looking forward to working with the experienced team.”
Born in London Anthony is a second-generation Irish immigrant, maintaining strong connections in the West of Ireland and a family home in Kilmovee, Co. Mayo. Anthony sits on a range of not-for-profit boards and has several advisory roles, including as a founding Trustee of Right to Succeed and an Ambassador for The Careers and Enterprise Company. Anthony has been recognised for his contributions to Corporate Philanthropy with several industry awards, including the Lord Mayor’s Heart of the City Award.
