Last year ICC Digital brought you a new rising comedic star, the hilarious stand-up, Maureen Sullivan. Maureen entertained us with her wise and witty observations about Lockdown, as well her unique renditions on her musical saw.
Maureen’s fabulous lockdown performances, from her home in ‘SheBu’ (Shepherds Bush), gained her thousands of hits and fans on social media, who all called out for more!
Well she’s back – Last July, during lockdown, Film Director Sé Merry Doyle filmed Maureen performing live on stage at the ICC. Get ready to watch Maureen’s fab performance, full of her seriously sardonically funny dry wit and sharp one-liners – it’s coming to ICC Digital this Friday! But for now here is a sneak preview!
Maureen Sullivan is Scottish, of Irish descent. She has been living in London for 40 years. Maureen has performed in two plays written by Rosalind Scanlon, namely, ‘Lovin Daniel’ and ‘Wash House Stories’ and more recently she appeared in the feature film, ‘The Knitting Ring’. After moving to London, Maureen trained as a Drama and Movement therapist at Central School of Speech and Drama and later studied Creative Writing at Birkbeck College, University of London. In 2019, she studied Stand-Up Comedy at City Academy. In 2020 Maureen performed her ‘Lockdown Tour’ seven comedy performances for ICC Digital, which can be viewed here on ICC Digital and on the ICC’s YouTube channel.
