The second episode of ‘Bright Side of The Road’ features Henry Scott Irvinetalking to the acclaimed Dublin born filmmaker, Sé Merry Doyle, about his life in theatre and as a documentary filmmaker.

Sé recently filmed and edited theThe ICC Seisiúns’, comprised of 14 unplugged music concerts, during lockdown, at the Irish Cultural Centre.  In the coming weeks, ‘Bright Side Of The Road’, will bring you highlights from these concerts and songs and music from the cream of Irish music.

In this show Sé talks about his early days in the Project Art Centre working alongside Gabriel Byrne and Jim Sheridan. He also discusses his documentaries on Patrick Kavanagh and the Iveagh Market and recalls early days when he was a roadie, meeting Phil Lynott. Sé chooses tracks that reveal his life’s journey, including Frank Harte, Sweeney’s Men, The Pogues, U2, Ray Charles, Donovan, Van Morrison and The Dubliners and picks tracks from some of the musicians he has worked with over the years, including The Dubliners, U2 and Donovan.
