Claire Tighe

Claire Tighe is a Political Advisor in the Labour Party, working for Shadow Secretary of State for Northern Ireland Louise Haigh MP and is Vice Chair of Labour Party Irish Society. She previously worked for Conor McGinn MP, Chair of the APPG Ireland and Irish in Britain and was Director of Banba Communications, which created a bridge between Westminster and Irish networks, including IIBN, TLICN, Irish and Britain, Arts Over Borders and the British Irish Chamber of Commerce. In 2016, she ran the national campaign of Irish4Europe during the UK’s EU referendum, which campaigned for Remain and highlighted concerns in relation to the Good Friday Agreement, the Border, the Common Travel Area and the rights of Irish citizens in Britain. She was born in London, grew up in Mayo and is a resiliently optimistic Mayo GAA supporter.
