It is with great pleasure that the ICC can announce our first ever Digital Lecture Series on the theme of Ireland in 1921 on ICC Digital.
For the past 15 years the Irish Cultural Centre has programmed a Spring/Summer Lecture Series, and the past 10 years we have focused on the decade of centenaries in Ireland from 1912-1922.
The pandemic forced us to postpone last year’s lecture series but we are happy to announce this year a Digital Lecture series consisting of five in-depth and engaging lectures. The topics, lecturers, and release dates are as follows:
30th April – The Establishment of Northern Ireland by Ivan Gibbons
7th May – The War of Independence in the South by Jonathan Moore
14th May – The War of Independence in the North by Jonathan Moore
21st May – The Anglo-Irish Treaty by Ivan Gibbons
28th May – O’Casey’s Dublin Trilogy by Michelle Paull
The ICC would like to thank our trustee and curator of the series Ivan Gibbons for programming such an engaging line-up.
