AFRO GAEL BEATS! The Summer Sounds of Afro -Celtic Fusion Music

Come and join us for “Afro-Gael Beats” a magnificent high energy fusion night of Afro Irish and Celtic Music. Curated by Gregg Kofi Brown, frontman for the internationally acclaimed band Osibisa.

This concert will bring to the ICC’s stage a nine piece music ensemble, featuring Kofi Brown, with members of Osibisa along with a collective of Irish musicians, who together will to bring you a foot stomping night of the most amazing African rhythms, mixed with Irish Jigs and Reels!

Singer-songwriter, guitarist Gregg Kofi Brown is best known for his international hits like the dance favourite ‘Sunshine Day’ recorded with Osibisa; ‘Shadow’ recorded with “Hall Of Fame” drummer” Billy Cobham, ‘Lullaby to an Anxious Child’ recorded with Sting. Kofi Brown’s critically acclaimed live shows has seen him perform from Siberia to Moscow…. from Paris, NY, LA, Brazil, Capetown to London and beyond!

As a song-writer Kofi Brown penned the Billboard US number one dancehit ‘Baby Talk’ with Alisha, earning a platinum record for over a million sales. He’s collaborated with Stanley Jordan, Des’ree and jazz diva Patti Austin. His contributed to three Billy Cobham albums cementing his enduring friendship with this iconic drummer and composer. And most recently he co-wrote his latest single THE RIVER with the great Ed Sheeran!

But it’s Gregg Kofi Brown’s commitment to London’s diverse community that has endeared him to the public. He produced the iconic Damilola Taylor Tribute album & concerts, which featured Robbie Williams, The Gorrillaz, Gabrielle, Ms Dynamite and Craig David. As A Volunteer he currently runs live music sessions for Fulham’s Action on Disability, as he is determined to pass on his musical knowledge and use music as a force for healing.

Gregg is delighted to be working with the ICC to curate this wonderful AFRO GAEL FUSION CONCERT, which promise to be wonderful summer party for all!

GREGG KOFI BROWN and ED SHEERAN’S Song “THE RIVER”

GREGG KOFI BROWN teamed up with ED SHEERAN to write the Afro gospel anthem called THE RIVER. Kofi Brown has previously collaborated with STING on the ballad ‘Lullaby To An Anxious Child’. This new release see’s a man who is worried, scared and has made mistakes in this world and seeks redemption by washing his soul in the river of life.

‘The River’ was released during Kofi Brown’s series of concerts while the UN CLIMATE SUMMIT COP 30 was happening in Belem, Brazil in November 2025. Co-written with global phenomenon Ed Sheeran, with stunning vocals from Kofi Brown and mixed by the legendary Chris Kimsey, who has produced five iconic Rolling Stone albums, the song
has a sustainable message of hope for the planet and the world.
