Old Voices, New Perspectives
Admittance only through free ticket or invitation (limited availability)
The 1st February, St. Brigid’s Day, is fast becoming a major annual date in the Irish calendar along with St. Patrick’s Day. Across the world on this weekend, women’s creativity is being celebrated in honour of St. Brigid. In London, events are taking place to celebrate the pioneering and creative role of women in various aspects of life – including fine art, literature, business, politics, theatre, music and sport. As part of these celebrations, the ICC is presenting three female-led events focused on art, politics, and entertainment.
This exhibition showcases six female artists from Ireland: painters Margaret Egan, Hetty Lawlor, Julie Cusack, Deidre Walsh and sculptors Orla de Brí and Ana Duncan. They will be joined by artists from the community local to the ICC in Hammersmith in a special exhibition to mark St. Brigid’s Day.
This event is strictly invitation and ticket holders only. (limited availabilty)
