Ceol

CEOL is a young band from all over Ireland with a passion for folk music. Discovered by Nathan Carter and Liam McKenna.

Cathal (Dublin), James (Wexford), Daryl (Kildare).

Taking inspiration from The Dubliners, The Chieftans, Mumford and Sons, and many other great Irish and international artists before them, CEOL are bringing folk music to a new generation.

CEOL were formed after a nationwide search of more than 1,000 people.

Launched in 2022, the band released their self titled debut album which hit 3,000,000 streams on Spotify within the first month of release. Hits include, Beeswing, Heave Away (feat Nathan Carter), The Ferryman, Big Strong Man, Some Say The Devil Is Dead, Travellin Soldier and many more.

Nathan Carter said: “The idea came to me when I was travelling around Ireland and seeing so many talented young musicians singing and playing in pubs every night of the week. I thought to myself, there is an opening here for a great young band who play a mix of the old folk songs with a contemporary modern twist.

Daniel O Donnell said: CEOL are a fantastic group of young musicians and I think they are the future of Irish Folk music. It is great to see the next generation of young musicians coming through.

Louis Walsh said: I have known Liam and Nathan for a long time, and what they have found in CEOL is something really special. These guys are naturally gifted musicians who will take the music scene in Ireland and abroad by storm over the next few years, and I am delighted to watch them succeed.

Within 6 months of joining TikTok they amassed over 5 million views, making them Irelands fastest growing debut music artist on the platform at the time.

They made their TV debut on The Late Late Show (RTE1) in March 2022.
