Enya Martin – Acting the Divil

From Dublin's Fair City, where The Girls Are So Pretty... Standup comedian, actress, author and fitness coach Enya Martin is one of Ireland’s most recognisable comedy voices and she’s bringing her brand-new show “Acting the Divil” to UK audiences

“Acting the Divil” is another brilliant stand-up show where Enya explores the very funny side of modern fitness culture, and the quiet truth of a long-term childless relationship. She recaps some of the madness of growing up in the 90’s in a Dublin working class neighbourhood, to recently flying first class to Australia. Enya explores the many hurdles that she has encountered in life that have helped shape her into the comedian that she is today.

Her Mum, Kay, is still a major source of some of Enya’s brilliant comedy. “Acting the Divil” is a great show with hilarious comedy stories about chasing success while staying true to yourself and to the people that shaped you.

A household name in Ireland, Enya Martin first shot to fame with her hugely popular Facebook page called “Giz A Laugh” creating 2-minute comedy sketches and videos. She amassed a loyal following through her sharp, relatable sketches about working-class Dublin life. She very successfully made the transition from social media star to fully fledged live stand up, regularly selling out major Irish venues including Dublin’s iconic Vicar Street. Enya is also a regular on all the major comedy festivals each year.

Her comedy is high-energy, honest and rooted in Irish storytelling – but universally relatable. Audiences don’t just watch Enya, they recognise themselves in her.
