“Michael Smith’s gripping biography”  Sara Wheeler, Evening Standard.

Reviews of Shacketon – By Endurance We Conquer ..

‘Smith, in illuminating this unforgettable figure, brings his own considerable scholarship in the field to the story’.  Caroline Moorehead  Wall Street Journal
