Emily Hogarty is a mezzo-soprano based in Dublin. She graduated from the TU Dublin Conservatoire and Trinity College Dublin in 2021 with a first class honours in Music Education, under the tutelage of Mairéad Buicke and Aoife O’Sullivan.
Last year at Wexford Festival Opera, Emily played the role of ‘Zibaldona’ in Alma Deutscher’s Cinderella and ‘The Student’ in the world premiere of Conor Mitchell’s Les Selenites. She has since made her role debut as ‘Fanny Price’ in the Irish premiere of Jonathan Dove’s Mansfield Park. She will be playing ‘Lady in Waiting’ in Macbeth at Blackwater Valley Opera Festival this June.
Other notable performances include ‘Dorabella’ with Vienna Opera Festival and chorus for Maria Stuarda with Irish National Opera. She was also a featured soloist with Trinity Orchestra where she performed all over Ireland, including the National Concert Hall. Emily has also musical directed Chicago by Kander and Ebb which premiered in the O’Reilly Theatre in 2019.

Accompanying Emily on the piano will be the Dublin-based pianist, organist and composer, Frasier Hickland.
Praised in recital for being ‘dramatically sensitive’ (OperaWire) and for his ‘flair and dexterity’ (Seen and Heard International), Irish pianist Frasier Hickland is a recent graduate of the Royal College of Music, London, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music. He is a Leeds Lieder and SongEasel Young Artist, and has been featured on both BBC Radio 3 ‘In Tune’, and on BBC Radio Ulster’s ‘Classical Connections’. He has also performed in many prestigious venues in Europe and America, including Wigmore Hall, London, the Oxford International Song Festival, the Willard InterContinental, Washington DC, the Yacht Club de Monaco, Monte-Carlo, the National Concert Hall, Dublin, and at the BMS International Festival of Chamber Music. Alongside his duo partner, flutist Amy Gillen, he was selected as a ‘Rising Star’ at the West Wicklow Chamber Music Festival and their recital was broadcast on RTE Lyric FM.
Competition successes include winning First Prize for Accompaniment in the John Kerr Award for English Song, the Irish Heritage Competition, the Brooks-van der Pump English Song Competition, and Frasier was also a finalist in the Kathleen Ferrier Awards. He is the 2024 recipient of the Blackwater Valley Opera Festival Bursary Award for Most Promising Artist. As a result of collaborations with Northern Ireland Opera, Wexford Festival Opera and Blackwater Valley Opera Festival, he has performed for dignitaries such as HM King Charles III and HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco. He also recently performed in a Gala Concert for the Walled City Music Festival with the Ulster Orchestra and soprano Ailish Tynan.
