Irish Women in Cinema
12 Days in July
with Margo Harkin
(Please note time rescheduled from 3pm to 4pm)
Margo Harkin gained access to the two disputing parties – the Orange Order and the Garvaghy Road Residents’ Coalition – to record this compelling account of the events in the summer of 1997 which were to become so significant in forcing a change in the political climate. The film gives an insight into the passions and the pain behind the Drumree crisis often referred to as a microcosm for the problems of Northern Ireland.
The film will be followed by a Q&A with director Margo Harkin.
