Join us at the Irish Cultural Centre for an unforgettable evening of traditional Irish music, song and dance with Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh and her outstanding band.

About Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh

Irish singer Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh in a cream jumper looking to one side, her hands under her chinNamed RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Singer of the Year 2022, Muireann is widely regarded as one of the most important voices in Irish traditional music today. Celebrated by the Irish Echo as “one of today’s great singers,” she combines deep respect for Ireland’s musical heritage with an adventurous, contemporary spirit. A former lead singer with Danú, she has collaborated across classical, folk and world genres, continually expanding the expressive possibilities of sean nós song.

Her groundbreaking project Róisín ReImagined, produced by Dónal O’Connor and performed with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, has been hailed for its bold and beautiful reimagining of the sean nós tradition. Expect to hear selections from this critically acclaimed work alongside beloved traditional songs and vibrant dance tunes.

Featuring World-Class Musicians

Muireann is joined by a stellar line-up of Ireland’s finest musicians:

  • Dónal O’Connor – acclaimed producer and Oriel musician on fiddle and keyboards

  • Michael Rooney – Ireland’s premier traditional harper and composer

  • Neil Martin – renowned Belfast cellist, composer and arranger whose work spans traditional and classical worlds

  • Mick O’Brien – legendary Dublin uilleann piper and internationally acclaimed soloist

  • Eimhear Flannery – concertina virtuoso and sean nós dancer

Together, this ensemble carries the same spirit that made The Chieftains Ireland’s great musical ambassadors: rooted in authenticity, powered by virtuosity, and alive with warmth, humour and sheer musical joy.

Their concerts capture the magic of an Irish session at its finest — where world-class musicianship feels effortless and every tune sparks connection. Audiences don’t simply watch; they’re drawn into a shared experience of music, storytelling and craic that lingers long after the final note.

Expect an evening of the very finest traditional music, sean nós song and exhilarating dance — a vibrant celebration of Ireland’s living cultural heritage.
