Eleanor Shanley is one of Ireland’s most loved and respected singers. It’s been nearly 30 years since starting her musical career as the lead vocalist with De Danann but her voice is still as pure and lyrical as the first day she stepped in front of a microphone in 1990. Renowned for her unique interpretation of Irish and Roots songs Eleanor is always at the top of her profession, she has recorded many award winning solo albums. She has worked with many great musician including  Ronnie Drew, The Dubliners, Sharon Shannon, Donal Lunny and U2. Her latest project, the four piece band GARADICE, featuring Eleanor Shanley (lead vocals), Dave Sheridan (Flute, Accordion and Piano), Padraig McGovern (Uileann Pipes and Whistles) and John McCartin, is currently selling out concert halls across Ireland.

Padraig McGovernwas taught uilleann pipes by master piper P.J. Flood and developed his music as a member of the Ceolas Céili Band. A highly regarded tutor of the Uilleann Pipes, Padraig has toured extensively.

Dave Sheridan’s flute playing style has been described as “free flowing and fluid, with sound technique and solid driving rhythm”. He has recorded two highly acclaimed solo albums and has recorded De Danann and Téada.

John McCartin is both a guitar and fiddle player and has played with many noted bands including Lúnasa and Dervish.
