Belfast multi-instrumentalist Jackie McAuley has had one of the most dizzyingly varied careers of any rock musician. On the cutting edge of the British blues boom in the mid-60s, as a lead player with the Van Morrison-fronted band, ‘Them’, by the late ’60’s’ McAuley was playing with psychedelic-folk cult band ‘Trader Horne’. He later recorded a classic, self-titled singer-songwriter album and became Lonnie Donegan’s long-term guitarist and musical director. He wrote a hit single for Status Quo (‘Dear John’), led the internationally acclaimed Celtic-Rock band ‘Poor Mouth’ and until this day remains creatively active with his own solo projects and band. Recognised as one oft the greatest blues guitarists in the world, he is is renowed also a master rock, blues and folk musician. This will be a rare chance to see Jackie play live in an intimate setting.
