The Henry Girls are three sisters, (Karen, Lorna and Joleen McLaughlin), from County Donegal. Having been brought up by music loving parents, who not only steeped them in ‘Irish Folk-Trad’, but also introduced them to an eclectic array of sounds, such as The Everly Brothers, The Bothy Band, The Beatles The Beach Boys, Johnny Cash and Ella Fitzgerald, it’s not surprising that this trio went on to forge a sensational sound of their own! Their music has a unique rootsy edge, which blends their native Irish trad-folk with hints of americana, bluegrass, and blues. Applauded for their sublime and beautiful close harmonies and their catchy tunes, The Henry Girls are being likened to great musical acts, such as Crosby, Stills & Nash, The Dixie Chicks and The Be Good Tanyas. Playing an array of instruments, since going out on the road in 2010, they have become one of the most talked about folk/roots acts to come out of Ireland and have been captivating audiences  all around the world. They have toured in Germany, America, Sweden, Italy, Switzerland, Holland ,and Austria. They have appeared as guest backing vocalists for Mary Black’s and Imelda May and they were invited to play Support Act for Hothouse Flowers on their recent/current 2018 Tour.  Their debut album ‘Louder than Words’ received rave reviews around the globe. It’s without doubt that The Henry Girls are major music stars of the future.
