St Brigid’s Art Exhibition: ‘Fáinleog’
A collection of work by artists Eve Parnell, Frances Breen, and Laura O’Hagan in honour of St Brigid’s Day focusing on the theme of the ‘Fáinleog’ which means the swallow and little wanderer. This will pay homage to both environment and the Irish Diaspora.
Eve Parnell studied Painting at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin, leading to a BA degree in Fine Art. Following her degree, Eve Parnell completed an artist’s residency in Sicily. She exhibits widely across Europe
Laura O’Hagan was born and educated in Ireland, graduated from NCAD in 1986. Her medium extends from clay sculpture to large scale mosaics, working mainly to commission and also as an educator
Born in Wexford, Ireland. Lives and works in Austria and Ireland. Graduated in Graphic Design and Art Education from the National College of Art and Design, NCAD, Dublin. Received scholarship awards to study Lettering with Professor Friedrich Neugebauer in Austria, Book Arts at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna and Lettering with Martin Andersch in Hamburg. Since 1986 visiting tutor for Lettering and Book Arts in NCAD Dublin.
