Kate is an Irish storyteller with a background in acting, singing and language teaching. Born and educated in Cork, she originally left Ireland to work in Kenya, after which she moved to Europe, performing in a variety of theatres before joining UK-based Common Lore, a company of storyteller/musicians from different folkloric backgrounds.

About Jonathan Gunning:

10 STORIES TALL is a crafted mix of myths and personal tales that celebrate the joy of the unexpected. From the windy West of Ireland to Northern Uganda these are tales that make the journey easier. Who could have known that a common vegetable started it all? That a simple tennis ball can bring us all together? Or that sometimes a storyteller can find themselves in someone else’s story

Jonathan Gunning began his career as an award winning stand up comedian before training at Ecole Jacques Lecoq in Paris. Since then he has toured extensively as a clown, actor, and storyteller with a particularly physical approach.

Jonathan has performed throughout the world, on streets and in theatres, tents, libraries and laneways.. and once in a graveyard. Jonathan’s TV credits include Game of Thrones, Vikings, The Frankenstein Chronicles and Into the Badlands

As co founder of the voluntary organization Clowns without Borders Ireland, Jonathan has helped bring laughter to children in crisis throughout the world. When not doing any of the above, Jonathan grows two long nails on his right hand to better pick the banjo.
