Ireland’s most groundbreaking live show arrives in London’s Irish Cultural Centre on Friday 7 th February 2020.
Musical duo Ryan Vail and Eoin O’Callaghan AKA Elma Orkestra will be bringing the audio-visual magnificence of their award-winning collaborative album ‘Borders’ to the Irish Cultural Centre, London. With a show that has been lauded by critics for the scope and scale of its ambitious sound, the addition of a string two-piece will help extend the atmospheric heights of the ‘Borders’ show.
With their blend of electronic and classical, the pairing of Vail and Orkestra has enraptured audiences all over the globe. From Berlin, Germany to Guadalajara, Mexico, the continent spanning mission of ‘Borders’ was recognised at the NI Music Prize for its resonance and groundbreaking audio landscape, taking home the ‘Best Album’ award at this year’s ceremony, as well as a nomination for ‘Best Live Act’.
An album custom built for this era of division, Vail and O’Callaghan strive for unity and a world where borders are no more important that the ink used to draw them. Sonically challenging, beautifully gentle and steeped in their expansive narrative, ‘Borders’ is one-of-a-kind.
