Workshop

WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE! A Free Creative Writing Workshop with Poet and Playwright Damian Gorman

We strongly advise booking early for this workshop, as places are limited.

Have you ever had the urge to write, but lost it? Have you ever written, but set all your writing aside? Or are you simply a writer who could do with a few words of support and direction? This short free workshop is intended as encouragement if any of the above applies. The focus will be on writing about, and from, the stories of our own lives.

Damian Gorman is a poet and playwright with well over 30 years’ experience encouraging writing in others. On this occasion, he is at the ICC to perform a new theatre show, BOY – An Unforgettable Life in Words and Music, which will take place on the evening of Sept 19th.

Damian’s last major theatre work was BEYOND BELIEF (with Brian O’Doherty and Kieran Griffiths), a musical drama about the lives of John and Pat Hume. It had a sell-out run in Derry’s Guildhall and was chosen by The Guardian and The Observer as one of the five best shows of the year.

Damian is also a Fellow of the Oxford Initiative for Global Ethics and Human Rights.
