Tune in to Near FM Dublin 90.3 on May 12th 11.30pm,  to hear another episode of the show ‘Bright Side Of The Road’ recorded at The Irish Cultural Centre, Hammersmith in London.

This week’s show shines a spotlight on the gifted flute player, singer and pianist Jacquelyn Hynes, who rediscovers and sings lost songs of old Irish days gone by, including her very own rendition of Delia Murphy’s ‘If I Were A Blackbird’ . Jacquelyn also plays  a beautiful tune on the flute, from Ireland’s great composer Turlough O’Carolan.

The show also features the great Dublin singer Frank Harte and a track from The High Kings.

Henry Scott Irvine presents this weekly Irish music and arts show, with special guests, the ICC’s Cultural Director, Rosalind Scanlon and Film-maker Sé Merry Doyle, who directed the series of 14 lockdown concerts, “The ICC Seisiúns”.
