Garadice – Sanctuary: A Musical Journey of Traditions and Tales, featuring Eleanor Shanley, Padraig McGovern, Dave Sheridan & John McCartin

Garadice’s much-anticipated second album, Sanctuary, invites audiences on a captivating musical odyssey that honours Ireland’s past while embracing the present.

The title track, Sanctuary, written by Vincent Woods and Máirtín O’Connor and first sung by Mary McPartland, is a moving tribute to the resilience of the working class — inspired by the miners of Arigna, Co. Leitrim.

Among the album’s many treasures is “Song for Kathryn”, penned by Don Mescall to celebrate the love shared by Christy Dignam and his wife — a piece that glows with emotional depth and tenderness.

Garadice breathe new life into Ireland’s musical heritage with every note — from exhilarating jigs and reels to haunting ballads that linger long after the last chord fades.

A World-Class Musical Collaboration

Their artistry is further enhanced by collaborations with renowned guest musicians including Donal Lunny, Tom Morrow, Neil Lyons, Eleanor Quaine, and Kieran Leonard — adding layers of brilliance to this already mesmerising collection.
