Mary Coughlan

One of Ireland’s greatest soulful jazz and blues singers, performing live in concert at the Irish Cultural Centre.

Mary Coughlan is widely regarded as one of Ireland’s greatest jazz and blues singers, celebrated for her soulful voice, emotional depth and powerful stage presence. Over her iconic, decades-long career, she has won devoted fans across the world, crafting music that is timeless, intimate, and unafraid to confront life’s darkest moments.

Rising from a past marked by childhood trauma, addiction and personal struggle, Mary has transformed herself into a musical force like no other – an artist whose honesty, empathy and courage resonate deeply with audiences. Every performance is infused with heartfelt storytelling, disarming humour, and a connection that reaches far beyond the stage.

Mary’s acclaimed theatre project Woman Undone, created in collaboration with Brokentalkers and composer Valgeir Sigurðsson, explores themes of love, loss, trauma and womanhood through a haunting, award-nominated soundscape.

Her breakthrough debut album, Tired and Emotional (1985), catapulted her to fame, and with 15 albums released to date, Mary Coughlan continues to captivate listeners around the world. She regularly performs to sold-out venues across Europe, the UK, Australia and New Zealand, enchanting audiences with her versatile, velvet-toned voice.

Experience Mary Coughlan live – a rare opportunity to witness one of Ireland’s most extraordinary and enduring musical talents.
