About Ocean Child:
The musical narrative of OCEAN CHILD, written and composed by Neil Martin, is wrought from the tragic sinking of the RMS Tayleur off Lambay Island on January 21st, 1854. In this deeply moving suite, a spoken narrative, drawn from contemporaneous newspaper reports and witness accounts, marries with an original score embracing string quartet, uilleann pipes, harp, flute, concertina, and boy soprano.
