Concert – Luke Coughlan

13th November 2020, 12am

Today in our series ‘THE ICC SEISIÚNS’, we bring you the gifted singer songwriter Luke Coughlan, in conversation and in performance.

Luke, an Irish Londoner and son of the great Irish balladeer Peter Coughlan, grew up surrounded by Irish trad, folk and rock music. He started singing and performing at an early age and quickly carved out his own unique musical style.

Luke has performed many times at the ICC and he has gigged all around London. He performed on the main stage at the Saint Patrick’s Festival in Trafalgar Square (2019), alongside many Irish music legends; and he also performed in “Ceiliúradh”, a concert held in honour of Ireland’s President, Michael D Higgins, at The Royal Albert Hall (2014).

Alongside his music, Luke is also a great actor. He was recently cast in the role as Frankie Valli in the critically acclaimed show ‘Big Girls Don’t Cry’ and he will continue to perform the role after Covid.

In this concert Luke sings songs by songwriters Glen Hansard, Stan Rogers and Paul Brady and he also sings his own self-penned song ‘Integrity’. Enjoy!
