Patsy – The Horseman

Today ICC Digital kicks off your week with a real gem, the wonderful short film “Patsy – The Horseman”,  Directed by Luke Taggart.

The film celebrates Horsemanship in Ireland and it pays tribute to the life of one of Ireland’s greatest Horsemen, Patsy Doherty. It captures  a strong sense of  joy and community that the Horseman share and it emphasises the importance of preserving Horsemanship as an Irish way of life.

Shot mainly in  County Fermanagh and County Tyrone, the film takes us to the towns of Irvinestown and Castlederg, where we meet many of the family and friends of  Patsy Doherty, who talk about him with great admiration, respect and fondness.

About The Director  – Luke Taggart

Luke Taggart  recently graduated from the University Of Ulster, where he studied Cinematic Arts.  Having a great interest in documentary film-making and local Irish culture, Luke made this film for his finals project.
