Those of you who were lucky enough to be at the amazing concert by Ireland’s great supergroup ‘ALTAN’ here at the ICC on the 18th of March 2022, will remember the magical moment when ALTAN invited the gifted singer Ruby Kearney up onto the stage to sing with them.
Here you can see Ruby singing a mesmerising version of Kate Bush’s song “ARMY DREAMERS”, a song which is so appropriate at this moment in time.
ABOUT RUBY KEARNEY: Ruby is a second generation Irish, East London born and bred visual and vocal artist, writer, singer and spoken word performer. She often works along with the sound artist AKA PATRICIUS, focusing on collaboration and unification of sound, movement and visual language to communicate stories and stimulate atmospheric experiences.
Ruby also works as creative events producer and an assistant in the music industry and she is an Events Officer here at the Irish Cultural Centre; she has performed here as a singer and vocal artist and recently appeared in The ICC’s International Women’s Day event, the film of which can be watched here on ICC Digital.
Ruby is currently working on developing her own creative process influenced by her Irish heritage, sound art and poetry.
