Singer Songwriter Brian Kennedy, singing his song ‘Captured’ – To mark ‘Pride Fest’ 2020

ICC Digital is delighted that the wonderful Irish Singer Songwriter Brian Kennedy has contributed two songs to our ‘Pride 2020’ Celebration. Here is the first song, ‘Captured’. It was Brian’s very first single, which he recorded over thirty years ago.

BRIAN KENNEDY is a multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter and one of Ireland’s most inspired and revered ambassadors of music. He is not only a prolific songwriter but a master interpreter of lyrics as well, and audiences around the world continue to praise his exceptional vocal talents.

Originally from Belfast, Northern Ireland, Brian was the featured vocalist with Van Morrison’s Blues & Soul Revue for six years. He was the lead singing performer in ‘Riverdance’ on Broadway for nine months at Manhattan’s Gershwin Theatre in an especially tailored role at the request of the composer Bill Whelan. Brian is first and foremost a live performer and songwriter.

Brian has shared the stage with an extraordinary list of legends including Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder, Jeff Buckley, Sinead O’Connor, Eddi Reader, Boy George, Sting and even Richard Gere.

Apart from being one of Ireland’s best loved singing stars, Brian is also a highly-regarded radio and TV presenter, a Doctor of Letters from University of Ulster, a novelist and Voice of Ireland coach.
