Concert – The ‘Devines’

6th November 2020, 12am

We are delighted to bring you this weeks concert from our series “The ICC Seisiúns” –it’s the ‘Devines’  in conversation and in performance.

John, Caz and their son Joe Devine are three members of the same musical family. An acoustic trio, they perform a mix of original songs, unique compositions, contemporary arrangements of folk songs and their own unique brand of Irish ‘trad’, on an array of instruments including uilleann pipes, banjo and saxophone, which together create a big and powerful sound.

They have produced three successful studio albums, an EP and they’re currently working on a new album.

‘Devines’ have been touring since 2011 and made history when they were among the first musicians to ever perform Irish music at a Royal reception in Buckingham Palace.

John Devine is not only a gifted singer songwriter, but he’s also a Development Worker for the Irish music organisation Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann, in Britain.
