Tune into Dublin’s Near FM 90.3 on Wednesday June 2nd at 11.30pm to hear another episode of ‘Bright Side Of The Road’ recorded at The Irish Cultural Centre in Hammersmith, London.

This week’s show will shine a spotlight on the legendary singer songwriter Shane MacGowan and it will take a look at his life and his work from his Punk Rock days through to his success with The Pogues and later with The Popes, who frequently played at The ICC in London.

This show will play some of Shane’s greatest tracks including ‘The Broad Majestic Shannon’, ‘The Dark Streets Of London’, ‘If I Should Fall From Grace With God’ and of course ‘Fairy Tale Of New York’.

Henry Scott Irvine presents the weekly Irish music and arts show, with special guests, the ICC’s Cultural Director, Rosalind Scanlon and Dublin’s Film-maker Sé Merry Doyle, who recently directed the series of 14 lockdown concerts, “The ICC Seisiúns”.

Bright Side of The Road’ is on Dublin’s Near FM 90.3 every Wednesday at 11.30pm.
