Ceol – “Those Were the Days” London Launch

Irish Folk band CEOL are released their debut EP “Those Were The Days” in late 2022, featuring a collaboration with country music star Nathan Carter on the social media hit song “Heave Away”.

The video for “Heave Away” which features CEOL & Nathan Carter in the studio has a combined total of 1 million views on social media platforms in less than 1 week since release.

CEOL is a new young band from all over Ireland with a passion for folk music. Discovered by Nathan Carter and Liam McKenna.

Cathal (Dublin), Matthew (Donegal), James (Wexford), Daryl (Kildare).

Taking inspiration from The Dubliners, The Chieftans, Christy Moore, Mumford and Sons, and many other great Irish and international artists before them, CEOL aim to bring folk music to a new generation.

Nathan Carter said: “The idea came to me when I was travelling around Ireland and seeing so many talented young musicians singing and playing in pubs every night of the week. I thought to myself, there is an opening here for a great young band who play a mix of the old folk songs with a contemporary modern twist.

Within 9 months of joining TikTok they have amassed over 5 million views, making them Irelands fastest growing debut music artist on the platform.
