Céilí night with ‘Gleann Catha Céilí Band’
Join us on the night of 3rd May for an evening of Set and Céilí Dancing. Fun for all groups, all the family and all ages!
No experience required – A designated caller will provide instructions for the dances.
‘The Gleann Catha Céilí Band’ (pronounced ‘Glinn Caha’) is a family band spanning two generations, named after the family home village along the Coast Road in South Connemara, Co. Galway. All band members are regular visitors to the Irish Cultural Centre down the years, having played for numerous céilís here and at St Joseph’s Social Club in Highgate. Band members also appeared in concert as part of the ICC Sessiúns digital series (‘The Connolly Family’, ‘Karen Ryan and The Quinn Family’ and ‘Colman Connolly with Fiona Daly’)
‘Gleann Catha Céilí Band’ will consist of Gary Connolly (accordion), Teresa Connolly (fiddle), Karen Ryan (fiddle), Colman Connolly (uilleann pipes), Katie Quinn (accordion), Annie Quinn (uilleann pipes/ flute), Ben Connolly (flute), Ella Connolly (fiddle) and Pete Quinn (keys)
