“Songs from Home” – A Musical Tour Around Ireland, With the Irish Singer Barry Owen

The great Irish Crooner, Barry Owen, will take you on an enchanting musical tour around the four great provinces of Ireland. Weaving beautiful Irish songs and stories, he’ll start his musical tour in Donegal, he’ll take you all the way across and around the wild Atlantic way, through Galway, Mayo and all that is great about the west.

Then, through magical songs, he’ll sing you all the way towards the Kingdom of Kerry, before stopping off in Cork and Wexford and then go north to the fair city of Dublin.

Finally he’ll head all the way up to Ulster, to Barry’s homeland, where the mountains of morn sweep down to the sea!!

Barry’s musical tour around Ireland promises to be magical, enchanting and a heart-lifting night of great Irish entertainment! Come along and enjoy!!!

ABOUT BARRY OWEN

Born in Ballynahinch Co. Down. Barry came to London in the early 80’s to study music at the London College of Music. Graduating with his teaching diploma, he spent 5 years teaching violin. Realising that teaching wasn’t for him, he started performing locally and then joined the top socialite function band, ‘The Chance Band‘, where he performed as lead singer and musical director for several years.

In the 90’s, Barry represented Ireland in many song contests, winning in many countries around the globe.

He then formed his own band which is currently the most sought-after function band on the Irish scene in the UK and Worldwide.

Barry has always wanted to perform an acoustic set of the songs he grew up with and the places he has been in his homeland,  hence the title of Barry’s unique special magical evening..
